Present Game

  • The Big Idea: Describe your learning topic for the game. What is the most important thing you want your players to learn?
The most important thing I want my player to learn is that the game is made to show how an Atom collects protons and neutrons in order to keep going. In my game the blue spheres represent protons and neutrons.
  • Research: What kind of research did you do? What did you learn about your topic?
I did many research on this topic.
I know that a atom needs protons and neutrons to become another element.
  • Making Decisions: How did your ideas change as you worked on your game?
My ideas changed a lot throughout the game process.
At first I wasn't going to make about Elements and the configuration of objects.
  • Mastering Programming: What Game Ingredients and Help Center resources have been most useful to you so far, and why?
The Game ingredients that were the most useful was Splash screen and Relative Mouse Positioning.
The reason for that is that these ingredients make the game look much more cleaner than it was.
The Relative game ingredient gives you the feel that you're playing the game.
The Splash screen gives the player an idea of what they're in for before playing the game.
  • Overcoming Challenges: Which part of making the game was most difficult for you? How did you overcome this difficulty? What features are you most proud of in your game?
The most difficult part about making this game was adding the code to it.
The code must be perfectly placed and typed in order for it to work.
I overcame this difficulty by focusing on the code and asking questions
I most proud of the coding and how it works well.

Learn About Game Paper Prototyping

Making my paper prototype helped a lot I think.
It was actually think it helped me make my game even more organized and let me see the vision I had for my game on paper.
It also helped me decide how many levels I wanted to have.It helped me make more objects that I didn't think of before.
I say the biggest problem I had was where I was going to set the game at and what enemies I should have.
Overall I think making a paper prototype helps a lot by helping you see the vision of your game on something you can actually see.

Plan Game Scene

My vision for my game is a very vivid one.

I am planning to make a fun and playable game. I am looking forward to making Atom man come to life.
The enemies will follow Atom man everywhere, it'll be pretty hard.
I am thinking of making the game pretty hard but fun.
I am excited to make this game.

I can't wait to make this game come to life.

Choose A Learning Topic

The character of my game will be a nucleus.
The nucleus will collect Protons,Neutrons and Electrons in order to turn into other elements.
The enemies in my game will be avoiding bonding with other elements.
What you'll learn by playing my game is how collecting protons, neutrons and electrons will turn you into a different element.
By the end of my game the player will learn the Atomic makings of different elements.

Learn to Design For Mobile

A design I have for a mobile phone application wouldn't have too many things in it.
For the simple fact that it's on a phone  and would make it lag.
I would keep it simple with, tress and a character.
The game will have a repetitive background like most scrolling background games do.
For a console game I would add more things.
A console gives you more opportunities to add more things and make in more interactive.
I would add different backgrounds, different levels and many different characters.

Semester Goals

The new semester has started and everything is new. This semester I've set down a few goals for this class. I 've made 3 goals to be precise.
One of my goals I've put down is to get a high A grade for this class. To achieve this goal I will make sure I do all my work.
I'll complete my Blog,Wiki or Flash assignments.
I'll finish and turn them in on time.I will make sure I check all my work and try as hard as I can in order to have the work that are to the best of my abilities.
A second goal I've set for myself this year is to make a game better than all the other games I've made in the past.
I'll draw every character to the best of my abilities and code with perfection. My game will be fully playable, fun and most importantly educational.
My third and final goals I've set down is to help others around me as much as I can. I will accomplish this goals by finishing my work first then after I'm done going around to others in order to help. I help them with coding or questions they have about the programs.

3D Paper Prototype

Write about making a prototype.
What problems did it help you solve with your game idea?
Drawing out how you have your game planned is a way to organize and think ahead.
It helps you look at the game a little more vivid than you had originally.
It helped me see what things I had to add on and what things to take out.
One main thing I had a problem was i was limiting my space even though it was a 3D game .
As a 3D  game you can add more things for your character to interact with and the player to see and explore. When drawing the paper prototype it gave me a sense of how much more space I had to add more things in.

3D-Plan Game Scene

What excites you about it?
What make me excited about this is the actual topic.
The topic will be a really big problem and making a game on it will raise awareness.
Making the game will show how dangerous it is to text while driving.
I can't wait to make it on Unity though, the whole idea of a 3-D game will get my idea across stronger.
Overall making a game over this topic will be exciting and challenging, but I'm committed to it .

3-D Choose Learning Topic

Explain why you like this topic for your Adventure game.
I chose this topic for an Adventure game because at our age we are beginning to drive.
Learning how to be safe while driving is important for all of us.
It's also a really big social topic!
Most of accidents are caused by teenagers not keeping their eyes on the round and on the phone .

3D Sculpt Terrain

Sculpting in Unity was a whole different thing.
It's an actual simulation of how it is to create a terrain as a professional game designer.
Having to keep an eye on your terrain throughout the whole time you re sculpting was a hassle.
Yet I still managed to sculpted a vacation scene.
The scene features a waterfall, mountains and a small island.
Overall sculpting on Unity gave you the feeling of actually making a common game in stores.

Intro to Unity

  • How was creating a 3d object different or similar to what you were expecting?
Creating these 3d projects were a whole different thing .
Keeping track with where your project is on the screen was the most complicated.
Sculpting the volcano and mountains came naturally to the tools.
Adding texture to the terrain was fun and easy.
So overall it was different but fun .
  • What other things do you hope to do using Unity?
Using unity I hope to build many more things that are found in normal games.
A character that can move around the terrain using the arrow keys.
A terrain so realistic where every texture looks like the games that sell.

Choose Learning Topic

The topic I chose was, texting while driving .
I chose this topic because lately there has been many controversy over this topic.
Most of teen car crashes occur due to them texting while behind the wheel of a car .
I feel like doing a game over this topic will show how dangerous and serious this issue is .
My game will not only show why the issue is as big as it is but will also show the players how to help this issue and prevent it .

Play to learn

What did you learn by playing these games?
By playing these games I learned how to help by recycling and making better choices on where to throw things away.I also learned what effects happen when you do make a bad choice.

What kind of ideas did you get for your own game?

I got many ideas from these games but I learned a few things I would like to incorporate into my game like my character being able to carry objects. I also got ideas to have a clues to help the players.

What differences did you see between the 3D and 2D versions of Malaria Prevention?

I think that the 3D looked way better. The 3D game keeps your attention due to it giving you the feeling you're actually playing. The 2D game gives a player a traditional feel that gets old once a while and can't keep your attention.

Which game ingredients would you include?
I think that the game ingredients I would include would be mostly everyone!
By adding more ingredients to my games the more entertained my audience will be.
It will make the game much more detailed and let the 3D aspect used to it's full potential.

Course Overview

I am really looking forward to start working on our 3-D games. Nothing comes up to mind when  try to make up a game, but I love a challenge. I am really looking forward to start learning these new ways to making games. I'm looking forward to drawing my images on the Action Script. This new concept of making 3-D games will be hard to grasp but will definitely bring our creation to a whole new level.

Where to get help

Write a blog post about the different ways you can find help for GlobaloriaYou can find help on Globaloria in many different ways. One way you can find help is by going down the left side of the page and looking at the different topics. Then there's something you can do to find everything faster; you can search for something on the search bar.You can also ask for help from your pears because some may more know about others.

How might your classmates or friends help you with your projects? How will you help your classmates with their projects? My friends can always help me with my projects.Someone might know more than I do like I mentioned in the paragraph above. The can help me find things on the Wiki or even help me with my many game . I'll be as helpful as I can to my friends not only because they help me but because Globaloria is a place where you can throw new ideas at each other. I'll help students out with coding by posting it somewhere they can see it.

Forks over Knives notes

This documentary is about how the number of obeisity people is increasing extremely and the number of people who have diabeties, high blood pressure.. The united states is the one who invest the most money on health care but we are the ones with the most health problems . health problem cost this country over $ 100 million dollars. And we use triple amount of money on that , than for the army.   They found a new operation where, they remove a vein from your leg, which helps build a new path so the blood could get in your heart that way.Animal protein is the argument that the scientists are having. Some are saying that you need animal protein but, on the other hand the others say that it is not necessary all it does, is increase the cancer cells. Some, also say if you have family in which cancer or whatever other illness, you will also get it . But, the majority are caused by what you put in your body. The genes still are caused but the majority is caused by all the animal protein, like meat.High fructose corn syrup is in almost everything we eat, and has been discovered that it is extremely bad for you .

Forks over Knives

This is my forks over knives project.

If you game was not featured in the article what would you like for the author to have said about your game ?
That they really like our game, just like the other ones and it is very influential

Which game do you think the author should have mentioned in the article and why ? Ours, because it was very good and a good improvement from our games from yesterday.

I really liked your drawings!
The keys worked , the character moved perfectly. The whole game is perfect. I thought it was really creative how you put the facts floating. Over all the game is well done . I can really learn from this game.
